In Eger region you can hunt in the area of Bükk, Mátra, Hevesi hill-country and in the north part of Alföld. Mainly big games live in the mountainy areas and on the hill-country where you can chase wild-boar, roe, deer and moufflon; in Alföld region small games such as pheasant and hare and as a big game roe can be shot mainly.

If you have the appropriate licences (annual shooting licence, gun li-cence), you have to be registered at any hunting association where you will be informed about hunting opportunities and vacant times of the area you have chosen.

You can hunt only in the territorial authorized attendant’s company who in case of a trophied game makes arrangements for showing the trophy to the authorities. You have to pay according to the price-list regarding the details of the trophy judgement application, but you can be allowed a discount or individual tariff.
